The Beyond 2025 Steering Committee recommends strengthening the Chesapeake Bay Program by identifying ways to simplify and streamline the partnership's structure and processes, including potential changes to the Chesapeake Bay Program's Governance and Management Framework to ensure that partner commitments can be met. This year we'll feature four tracks including Storytelling for Impact, Conservation & Access, Eduring Organizations, and Resilient Communities. 19th Annual Chesapeake Watershed Forum Rappahannock River Roundtable. NPS Chesapeake Gateways will host its annual partner meeting February 12 & 13, 2025, in Cambridge, Maryland Over the last year, the Bay Program has been meeting to try to figure out the future of the Bay Program agreement and which goals and outcomes will be renewed, amended, continued or removed.
Present at This Year's Chesapeake Watershed Forum! Chesapeake Network. In October 2022, the Chesapeake Executive Council charged the Principals' Staff Committee with recommending a critical path forward that prioritizes and outlines the next steps for meeting the goals and outcomes of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement leading up to and beyond 2025 The current iteration of this landmark agreement, which contains 10 goals and 31 outcomes related to blue crabs, water quality, land protection and more, was signed in 2014, and many of those outcomes have a deadline of 2025.
